Impinj xSpan RAIN RFID Gateway

Always-on monitoring of doorways and transition points.

The xSpan gateway packages a RAIN RFID reader and a steerable antenna array in a single, plug-and-play unit. Mounted overhead or on a wall beside an entry, exit or dock door, it monitors items moving along a single axis — identifying what passed, in which direction and when — with no separate antennas to cable or align. That simplifies installation and management and lowers the total cost of the reading infrastructure in retail, healthcare and supply-chain sites.
